Mt Coolum Retreat is a spacious three level Queenslander style residence nestled at the foothills of the majestic Mt Coolum and enjoys spectacular views of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. A delicious full cooked breakfast is included in the tariff, and is served on the second level deck with stunning views to the Hinterland. We are located at the heart of the Sunshine Coast, with pristine white sands and crystal clear waters of the Sunshine Coast¿s beautiful beaches two kilometres away.

Things to do

There are many things you can do during your stay at Mt Coolum Retreat. You can take a walk to the summit of Mount Coolum for a spectacular view of the Sunshine Coast, and swim or fish from one of the patrolled surf beaches. . Golfers can also enjoy a game of golf at one of several other excellent golf courses in the area (Mt Coolum, Maroochydore, Buderim, Noosa, Nambour, Pelican Waters). You can dine out at a variety of fine restaurants in the region. Visit Noosa with its cosmopolitan shops and restaurants, the beautiful beaches and national park. Stroll along Hastings Street or take a trip on the river and see the everglades and Lake Cootharaba. Unwind at Noosa Harbour Marine Village at Tewantin. Take a ninety minute Noosa Ferry Cruise aboard the ¿Riverlight¿ ferry and see the beautiful sights of Noosa. Visit Underwater World, enjoy fresh local seafood at the nearby Mooloobaba wharf, enjoy the night life, or take a reef game fishing charter. Fish, swim, hire a jetski or boat on the Maroochy River. The Sunshine Coast hinterland, including the Blackall Ranges, abounds with things to see and do. Visit the Noosa Valley and the country town of Cooroy and its butter factory. Close by are the famous Eumundi Markets (Saturday and Wednesday), and the town of Yandina and its Ginger Factory. Stop at Mapleton and Mapleton Falls National Park and take advantage of the lookout points along the way for some spectacular views. The craft towns of Flaxton and Montville are ideal places to shop for gifts and souvenirs or have a bite to eat at one of the many cafes or fine restaurants. Visit Australia Zoo, home of Steve Irwin (The Crocodile Man). Aussie World and the Ettamogah Pub are also nearby. Other attractions include;The Big Pineapple, Bellingham Maze, and The Sunshine Castle. A day trip to world heritage listed Fraser Island is also recommended.
